Yingjie is a Postdoctoral Fellow who completed a Bachelor of Clinical Medicine in Xiangya School of Medicine (China) and a PhD in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Calgary. Yingjie is investigating the basis for impaired autonomic regulation of the sinoatrial node in diabetes mellitus as well as the role of natriuretic peptides in the sinoatrial node in heart failure. Her experiments are performed using molecular biology, calcium imaging and electrophysiological techniques.
