Irene is an undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program at the University of Calgary. She began in the lab as a volunteer and is currently a summer student. Irene is studying the role of fibrosis in atrial fibrillation in diabetes. Her experiments are conducted using histological approaches in type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
