Hailey is a Postdoctoral Fellow. She obtained BSc and MSc degrees from the University of British Columbia and a PhD degree from Dalhousie University. Hailey uses intracardiac programmed stimulation, patch-clamping and molecular biologya approaches to study cardiac function in vivo and in isolated cardiomyocytes. Hailey’s project is focused on the effects of natriuretic peptides on ion channel function and arrhythmogenesis in heart disease and in the context of aging and frailty. Her studies are performed in mouse and human tissues.
