Martin is an PhD student in the lab. He completed his BSc (Honours) in Biology at Dalhousie University. Martin first joined the lab as an Honour’s student and then continued his work as an MSc student at Dalhousie. Martin has relocated to the University of Calgary and moved into the PhD program to expand and continue working on his project, which is focused on the effects of natriuretic peptides on structural remodeling (fibrosis) and electrical dysfunction in the atria and sinoatrial node in heart disease. Martin is using molecular biology, histology and high resolution optical mapping to conduct his studies.
