Iuliia is a postdoctoral fellow who obtained a PhD in neurophysiology from the Institute of Evolutionary Physiology and Biochemistry in Russia. She became interested in cardiac electrophysiology during prior postdoctoral training at the Ohio State University. Iuliia is using patch-clamp electrophysiology to study ion channel function in the diabetic heart. She also spends time studying ion channel function and regulation in human atrial myocytes obtained from cardiac surgery patients.
